In June 2019, eight members of the Men's Fellowship set forth on this year's 'Great Adventure' using public transport to visit the Anderton Boat Lift near Northwich. This historic piece of engineering is restored to full working order and, in its setting with visitor centre and canal walks, made for a most enjoyable afternoon.
Tonight, Sunday, 23rd June, there will be a service of Reflection and Wholeness led by the Revd. Dr. Irene John in the Church hall at 6.30pm.
On Wednesday, 26th June, there will be Bible Study with Revd. Dr. Irene John at 1.45pm followed by a visit to Weswards Care Home.

Commitment for Life's partner Global Justice Now has taken direct action today during the visit of Donald Trump's visit to Britain.
They unfurled a banner on Tower Bridge demaning the Government dumps the US Trade deal.

Come early to get a seat at the very popular Lent Lunch. Last week was crowded out as can be seen by the picture below.
Also in the evening will be the Men's Society's slide show and talk "In William Tell Country" by Denis Jones. 7.30pm start. Church Hall.
NOTE: There will be no Tea & Chat this month due to Lent Lunches but back to normal in April.

Last week's Coffee Morning in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation was the subject of double page photo spread in the Blackpool Gazette.
Leprosy Sunday 2019
Many thanks for the generous donations towards the work of The Leprosy Mission which this year focuses on the Anandaban Hospital in Nepal. To date the donations from the collection boxes and envelopes amount to £333. The Communion collections for February and March will be added to this amount and the total will be matched pound for pound by the UK Government. The new flat pack collection boxes are in the Church porch.
Last Sunday, 10th February, we welcomed Peter and Janet Venables into membership of the Church here in Garstang.

On Thursday, 14th February, Kevin Snyman, the national Programme Officer for Commitment for Life led a discussion group on Commitment for Life with members of Missional Partnership North.

And finally, Spring has arrived in the Church's graveyard.
We decided we would like to support the Rotary Shoe Box scheme for a change from Operation Christmas Child, especially as it is run by local people who are able to supervise distribution. Garstang Rotary are willing to buy the boxes for us and to take them to the collection point near Southport.
